David Archer, is an anti-racist psychotherapist from Montreal, Canada.

As a clinical supervisor and Approved EMDR consultant, he maintains a full-time private practice working virtually with clinicians and organizations across the globe. Mr. Archer has 10 years of experience in software engineering and 14 years of experience in counselling and psychotherapy. He is a registered social worker, marriage and family therapist and the developer of an integrative clinical framework called Rhythm and Processing Strategies. His efforts are primarily focused on mental health recovery for racial trauma survivors.

In the past he has given plenary presentations for the EMDR international association and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. He regularly provides presentations and workshops for group therapy practices, organizations, and corporations about Anti-Racist Psychotherapy and advanced trauma treatment methods and modalities.Mr. Archer is the author Anti-Racist Psychotherapy, Black Meditation, and his most recent book is: Racial Trauma Recovery: Healing Our Past Using Rhythm and Processing. He is trained in using EMDR therapy, Brainspotting, EFT, and other mind-body strategies utilizing memory re-consolidation and working memory taxation methods. Additional areas of clinical interest include working with individuals who have suffered from complex racial trauma, addictions, relational conflict, and eating disorders. He is an advocate for LGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, and oppressed people of color around the world.
