About this Interactive Report
This interactive report presents the main findings of a survey conducted by Léger for the Observatoire des communautés noires du Québec among nearly 1,500 young people across Quebec, including close to 1,000 Black youth. The survey is a key component of the Portrait of Black Youth in Quebec (PJCN), a participatory research project that seeks to better understand the realities, life trajectories, and citizenship experiences of Black youth, with the goal of informing more equitable practices, public policies, and collective action.
The data can be explored across a range of themes and allows users to compare the experiences of Black youth with those of other young people in Quebec.
Designed as a knowledge dissemination tool, this interactive report is intended for community organizations, decision-makers, researchers, professionals, media representatives, and anyone interested in better understanding the realities of Black youth in Quebec.
Its purpose is to encourage the use of the data generated through the PJCN in support of research, community action, and the development of more equitable public policies.
