From January 20 to 24, 2025, the Observatory of Black Communities in Quebec is organizing a series of crucial meetings to address the challenges and resilience of black communities in Quebec.
Objectives of the Thematic Meetings
The aim of these meetings is to create a space for exchange and reflection on crucial issues affecting Black communities in Quebec. They will offer participants the opportunity to discuss challenges, solutions and perspectives through research presentations, expert panels and discussion workshops.

Tuesday, January 21:Culture – Invisibility of black artists, resilience and resistance through action research.
Wednesday, January 22:Justice – The housing crisis in black communities
Thursday, January 23:Economy – Housing for black people in Quebec, access, challenges and experiences
Friday, January 24:Education – Racial discrimination in schoolss
