Sindy, a research intern at the Observatory of Black Communities in Quebec, will soon earn her master’s degree in political science with a specialization in feminist and gender studies from the University of Ottawa. She already holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the State University of Haiti. In her research, she is particularly interested in gender dynamics and the representation of black women’s sexuality through popular music, notably rabòday.
