Observatory of Black Communities in Quebec

Originally from Gabon, Patrick Minko began his academic journey in History in France, where he earned a master’s degree. He continued with a second master’s degree in Quebec at UQAM. He then changed his focus to Ethnology at Laval University, where he defended his doctoral thesis in 2019. Professionally, he was a researcher and coordinator of the UNESCO Chair in Democracy, Global Citizenship, and Transformative Education (DCMET) before joining the Observatory of Black Communities in Quebec.
