The Summit
The Young’ Summit was able to bring together leaders from the Haitian, African, Caribbean and English-speaking communities.

Initiated by some 30 actors, community organizations and associations active in the field for several years, the Socio-Economic Summit for the Development of Black Communities Youth (Young Summit) is an innovative network who gives the mission to contribute to Quebec’s economic and social development, focusing more specifically on the contribution of young people from black communities.
Our approach
- Breaking silos
- Learning from past initiatives
- Consolidating existing players
- Propose a maximum of 5 concrete initiatives
- Dealing with youth issues in a holistic way
- Consistency with the government’s youth strategy
- Promote synergies or community of practice
- Joint funding (governments, communities and civil society)
