Communications Team

MISSION: Initiated by an innovative network dedicated to the economic and social development of Quebec, the Afro Youth Summit focuses its efforts on empowering youth from Black communities. As part of this mission, we are looking for a Communications Officer to support its communication initiatives. This key position contributes to the effective dissemination of information and stakeholder engagement, thereby enhancing the project’s visibility and positive impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare content for social media platforms
  • Write articles for newsletters and other communication products
  • Support the creation and improvement of web pages
  • Capture photo and video coverage of events
  • Perform other related tasks

PROFILE

  • Ages 15 to 30 (inclusive) at the start of employment
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee protected person under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act [S.C. 2001, c. 27]
  • Legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial and territorial laws and regulations
  • Relevant experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, WordPress is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills are an asset
  • Bilingualism (oral and written) is an asset
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Organizational and planning skills
