Administration Team

MISSION: Initiated by an innovative network dedicated to the economic and social development of Quebec, the Afro Youth Summit focuses its efforts on empowering youth from Black communities. As part of this mission, we are looking for an Administrative Officer to contribute to the efficient management of the project’s administrative operations. This essential position ensures quality administrative support, thus enabling the smooth implementation of project activities and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer calls and welcome guests and visitors
  • Draft letters, reports, invitations, or other types of administrative communication
  • Update the list of partners and contacts
  • Send invitations and assist in meeting preparations
  • Ensure document archiving and filing
  • Participate in project planning meetings
  • Support project activity implementation
  • Assist in project administrative organization
  • Organize and manage logistics during project activities and events
  • Perform other related tasks

PROFILE

  • Ages 15 to 30 (inclusive) at the start of employment
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee protected person under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act [S.C. 2001, c. 27]
  • Legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial and territorial laws and regulations
  • Relevant experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, WordPress is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills are an asset
  • Bilingualism (oral and written) is an asset
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Organizational and planning skills
